There are no hotels or inns around, just the sea on one side and the mountains on the other, separated by a strip of sand. The beach is calm and ideal for children and for those who like to practice physical activities. Praia do Forte is located 500 meters from the fort of São José da Ponta Grossa (see map under "Contact"), 4 km from Jurerê (the glamorous district where soccer plays and super models spend the summer), 10 km from Shopping Floripa, and 20 km from downtown Florianópolis. Other options for tenants who like to party would be the trendiest beach clubs in Florianópolis (P12, Taiko, Café de La Musique, among others) which are less than 10 minutes away by car. Jurerê is known for beach clubs and restaurants with excellent cuisine and lots of beautiful people beautiful.
